Treatment of Bone & Muscle Conditions in Children and Adults

Osteitis as bone swelling in left collar bone.

Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO)

Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis (CRMO), also known as Non-Bacterial Osteitis (NBO), is a chronic inflammatory condition which affects the bones. It has a tendency to affect certain sites more than the others, with the collar bone (the end towards the chest bone) as a typical location. Other typical locations include the ends of the long bones (e.g. the hip end of the femurs), or the jaw. When this condition affects the spine it needs to be checked carefully to ensure the spine does not collapse.
